White Tattoo Ink

White tattoo ink is used by most artists as a way to draw emphasis on an object or for shading purposes. While this is its primary purpose, it can be used as a base or solid color for some skin tones. People with light colored skin often have the most success with white dye as their permanent art color.

White tattoo ink isn’t recommended for people who have dark skin, and this is the reason, a tattoo is essentially an injection into the dermis layer of the skin. The dermis is not the outer lay of skin tissue, but rather the tissue that is located underneath the epidermis. Because of this, if white ink is injected for a tattoo, people with dark skin still have dark skin tissue that will cover the dermis often making the dye invisible.

White tattoo ink should be discussed with an artist to see if it will work with a specific skin tone. They are skilled in the art, and have often had experience with performing such tasks. They will be able to give an honest assessment as to whether or not it will be a worthwhile monetary, as well as, physical investment.
